Waiting – oil painting

I had a Comment that my bio photo would make a good painting. I thought so too. Here’s my painting “Waiting”. This is oil on canvas, 30″ x 34″. It has been shown at the Oil Painters of America national juried show and the Richeson 75 portrait/figure competition.  And it was in the great article  about me in Southwest Art Magazine, Sept. 2008.  A shipping company (which I won’t name) lost this painting for over a month. Just when I thought I would never see it again, it was found and returned home safe and sound. To see a bigger image click here

The painting shows a woman sitting in a chair by a table, looking out a window. She is wearing a victorian silk dress. The costume is based on a dress painted by James Tissot
